An Evening of Magic...and Popcorn
November 18th, 2010 – A night of food, fun and magic! This years annual Open House at JDHgroup was not the normal batch of festivities and feasting of years past. Taking a little different twist this year, clients and vendors were invited to take a trip on the Hogwart’s Express and attend a special early screening of the newest release in the Harry Potter films – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1. Smiles and excitement filled the air prior to the movie while guests made their way to the theater. The screening was hosted at the newly remodeled Clark Planetarium IMAX theater. The month and a half renovation included new seats, new screen, a complete new sound system and a very impressive new IMAX 3D digital projection system. The planetarium has truly outdone themselves as the sound and picture quality were excellent and immersed everyone into the five story tall movie screen. Prior to the screening, guests enjoyed the many exhibits and displays found at the planetarium. One notable exhibit is the newest “Science On A Sphere” exhibit that fills the lobby in the front of the planetarium. The Images presented for the evening included earth’s weather system, ocean temperatures and a special Harry Potter themed presentation for the evening. http://www.clarkplanetarium.org/shows/exhibit/id/14 Once inside the the IMAX theater, while everyone waited for the feature presentation to start, clients and vendors were able to guess trivia questions presented on the screen about various JDHgroup employees and staff members. Baby photos, embarrassing facts and personal triumphs were the buzz regarding many of the JDHgroup employees. “Let’s see someone guess this one.” commented JDHgroup owner Joel Hall as he submitted some very “interesting” childhood photos and facts about himself. The JDHgroup presentation lasted 10 to 15 minutes and provided an entertaining opportunity for many to learn more about our JDHgroup DNA. “I learned quite a bit about your staff,” quipped an enthusiastic business partner after the show, “perhaps I learned a bit TOO MUCH!” After all the greetings were exchanged and the theater was filled up, the main event, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows was presented. And it did not disappoint. The movie had the audience startled and jumping out of their seats throughout the movie. For the true Harry Potter fans, it was a night not to be missed. JDHgroup wants to thank all those that organized this evenings event, those that designed and created the memorable visuals and marketing materials as well as those that sacrificed their time to make this evening very special. Most importantly JDHgroup wants to thank the amazing clients, loyal vendors and business partners and awesome employees that all contribute to the success of JDHgroup. Thank you and remember: “It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” -Albus Dumbledore
